Hi,I’m Gary Bembridge of Tips for
Travellers. I’m here right in the heart of the Tarangire National Park in Tanzania
staying at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. It’s right in the heart of National Park
and it’s a beautiful property. I’m going to take you on a flying visit as we
sweep our way across the very impressive and wow factor entrance. So you come to
this great entrance hall, you have bars, you have great viewing platforms, you
have a huge dining area. It’s a very beautifully appointed property. As you
can see the decor has a fairly African flavor to it. Beautiful furniture and
beautiful open spaces. It’s a large lodge and it’s a very popular
place. There are not that many places to stay within the Tarangire National Park and this is one of them. It’s about 32 kilometers from the main gate, and it’s
really well appointed for great game viewing. I am going to take you to have
a look at the room that I’m staying in which was room number 42. Let’s go take a look at the room. So this is room number 42 that I was staying and the rooms are
all very similar. I overlooked the swimming pool. So you come in and you
have this open area which is like a little work desk area, and you have
things like water which is very important of course because you
shouldn’t be drinking tap water and using it for also brushing your teeth. It has
power sockets which is great with power surges because it’s all on
generators here. Then come through into the hallway area and into the main
bedroom. As you can see two queen beds, which I believe is pretty standard
across all of the rooms, and of course you have the mosquito netting
around it. There’s also a desk and then in the main lobby area you have a
cupboard which has a very large safe. In terms of the bathroom, a big bathroom.
You’ve got, of course, basin, toilet and a large shower. Now what’s important to
note is there is only hot water between 6:00am in morning and at 9 o’clock in the
morning and 6 o’clock at night and 9 o’clock – because obviously this property
is right in the middle of a national park and it’s not connected to
electricity grid so they have to generate their own electricity. And so there you have it, that’s the Tarangire Sopa Lodge
in the National Park in Tanzania. Very
nice property. Really enjoyed staying here. Great views and great for game
viewing. I’d love it of you “like” the video – and very importantly please also

I love the decor of the main lodge,it looks beautiful. The carvings on the banisters are amazing.I like the look of the rooms to,nice and comfortable.Really enjoy ur videos Gary,I look forward to next week's episode.😊
Tastefully and elegantly designed recreational venue! You vicarious cinematic altruism, Gary, it truly thoughts motivating, as well as imagination provoking. Thank you very much! The working desk area, by the way & comparatively considering, is not so small… By the way, when being and travelling in that part of the world, one does need to take malaria pills? Please, confirm.
