You know how you’re always saying we should live more in the moment? Well, this week I did. If you spend enough time looking out the window, you start to notice more. You see things you’d otherwise miss. It’s like you’ve got tickets to the best show on earth, but there’s no script, no telling what you’ll see. The dust gets in my clothes and the spine of my book. My eyes sting from the sun and the wind, but also from not blinking. Because blink and you might miss something. You know the phrase ‘watching the world go by?’ Well this is the ultimate version of that, except this world has lions and elephants and nomadic villages, where people still meet under acacia trees to discuss the matters of the day. you’re dropped right into the middle of real life… On the road, strangers quickly become friends. I spend equal time lost in conversation and lost in my own thoughts, but mostly in the world rolling by. I know you would love it here. I wish you could see it, I wish you could feel it.
