We’re on the airplane first to Zimbabwe, over Harare, then heading to Ruanda and from Ruanda to Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania. We departed at 4pm and will arrive around 2am in the night in Tanzania. We’ll do something very exciting and I’m really looking forward to it for a long time now. We’re in Tanzania for a safari with ‘Makasa Safaris’ the next 5 days. Finally arrived at Kilimanjaro airport. It’s in the middle of the night. middle of the night and we are more than tired. We were just picked up from our Lodge, from Ali, our driver from ‘Makasa Safaris’. Our first stop is between Moshi and Arusha, because from here we got an incredible view of the Kilimanjaro. and from here we’re heading to the Tarangire National Park. We’re now in the Tarangire National Park and after less than 10min we spotted five female lions It seems that they are going to hunt. on a stalk! One of the lions is sneaking through the grass. Three Pumbaas just ran away and on the next hill is an impala. Exciting! I’m not sure if you can see it via the gropro. crazy! I’m so excited that my hands are shaking. Now it’s time for a quick lunch stop. we’re here for ca. 2 hours in the first 10 minutes we spotted a group of lions kind of unbelievable! They crossed the way in the front of our car. super exciting and than we were able to see them hunting my hands are still shaking – that was super crazy! but now we have a bite but honestly I don’t think that I can eat anything because I’m still super nervous. so let’s have a short rest and go on… And again a group of elephants and some giraffes. There are so many…and little babies…. (tööörööö) crazy! unbelievable! We arrived in our accommodation for tonight, we’re staying at the Tarangire Simba Lodge. Checking into our room, or tent. and reviewing that day. A very good morning! It’s the second day of our safari. It’s 6 am in the morning and we will continue our drive from Tarangire National Park to Serengeti today. We slept very well – now you can see our tent a bit better. That was scary because we’re directly in the wildlife. in the night we heard lions really close we heard elephants more close After dinner the brought us to the tent and during the night we were not allowed to leave our tent unsecured. such an experience – so cool! I guess I woke up and startled because of a roar! normally I have a really deep sleep. But now I’m looking forward to the second day. Ali already prepared our car for today We’ll need around 4 to 5 hours to the Serengeti an will pass by some Massaai villages. I forgot to do a small review of yesterday, but I think the images speak for themselves. Let’s go to the car.
