Featuring the greatest gay romance since The
Winter Soldier, and an idyllic, homely tale – Ideal Home is a delightfully down to earth
and humorous film that provides reliable laughs and affecting drama – approaching a contentious
topic with gleeful whimsy that will have you pleasantly entertained and emotionally invested
throughout. The film’s upper middle class brand of humour
may not be to everyone’s taste, but its heart is universally resonant – and though
plain cinematography, some cartoonish performances and scene to scene flow issues hamper it from
being truly great, it’s still good. It’s still good!
