You definitely have to do a husky ride
in Finland. It’s fast but safe and fun. Do it after the reindeer (sleigh) ride because
it’s just so much more fun. The best part is getting to drive the
sleigh. Don’t worry the dogs run on a track so the only thing you have to
worry about is slowing down from time to time which they’ll teach you to do. Although they have heaps a packages for
these husky safaris I recommend the two to three hour
package – it’s plenty of time and that’ll set you back about a hundred
twenty euro. It gets really cold out there so do remember to bring really good warm clothing although they
will give you an extra over coat and gloves when you get to the
farm. We are currently on a Husky Safari pulled by 6 very enthusiastic Huskies. One
person as you can see sits inside the sleigh like this and the other drives. Driving isn’t very difficult. Basically
you keep both feet on the sleigh except when you wanna
brake. Then you put either one foot or two feet down on a little brake which slows the
Huskies down. Other than that its a really fun smooth ride!
Check it out. Finally this is what the sleigh looks
like it’s not five-star comfort but it’s fun!
