Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of I’m behind because I’m traveling. So today I want to start off by talking about one, a warning, the latest version of Pokémon Go 0.109.1, has started rolling out but it comes with a bug – a bug that – Well, if you use Pokémon Go Plus don’t update yet. Chances are you’re not gonna see this update in your App Store yet because Niantic pushes out these updates to a very small percentage of users to check for bugs like this and people are reporting Well, you can’t use Go Plus with the update. So they’re not gonna keep pushing it out to more users. Just don’t go looking for the update trying to download it and sideload it, because it breaks Go Plus and there’s really not much new as far as we know. Hydro Canon was added to the game. Hydro Canon, as we know, is Blastoise’s exclusive move this weekend for Community Day. And we also have Squirtle with sunglasses appearing through research quests on Community Day. So, I’ll be stacking those up. There’s also some other stuff, but, you know, I’m not I’m actually not really that interested in sharing what is found in APK mines anymore because the game is updating so quickly Niantic is pushing out content so frequently now that I feel like we don’t need to dive into that, and it’s kind of more fun when it’s a surprise, but there are always other resources that you can go look to if you want to know what’s in an APK ahead of actually downloading it and installing it. That said though, there is some code for giving your friends nicknames. So that shows that Niantic is working on ways of organising the friends list, thankfully. Now the last thing I want to talk about, for this section, is the Pokémon Go Safari Zone event in Yokosuka, Japan has been officially announced. It takes place from August 29th to September 2nd. And this is big because I know a lot of people have been looking forward to this, have been trying to make plans but we haven’t had confirmed dates. We finally have them: August 29th to September 2nd. So, very late August, in fact, into September. And, it comes with a caveat, it’s free to play, anyone can go, but you have to apply ahead of time and that application window opens up on July 6th. Which is coincidentally the anniversary of Pokémon Go, so we’re gonna see anniversary, Articuno Day, Community Day. There’s a lot going on this weekend, but to apply to the event you need to go to the website: I’ll link it in the description. You can click there again, Friday, July 6th at 10 a.m. Japanese Standard Time and applications will close on July 20th, so they’re open for two weeks. If more people apply than there’s capacity for, it’s gonna be kind of a raffle system. So this is clearly a way of trying to limit the number of people participating in the event, people who apply and get approved are gonna get a QR code and that QR code will unlock the event, it’s not gonna be like the Safari Zone last weekend where 170,000 people showed up and no one could play because everyone was just clogging the network. There is a way of kind of gating the event limiting the number of people participating and anyone who doesn’t have a QR code unfortunately won’t be able to see the in-game content. Which, theoretically should limit the number of people, the number of people on the cellphone networks and prevent something like what happened at Safari Zone last weekend from happening again in Japan, although to be fair there were like two million people at the Pokémon Go Park? At the Pikachu Outbreak event last year, and those networks held up just fine. So maybe this is more of like a traffic control trying to limit the number of people actually there in the city but we’ll see. And as for what’s actually going on at the event, as expected, Unown probably spelling Yokosuka. I think I actually have all those letters – I do too Do you? – Yep. Well, we’ll be trading for Unown that we don’t have there. That’s DX1 over there, by the way. The region exclusive that will be appearing is Tropius So I mean, I’ve been to Morocco I caught three Tropius, I’m already running low. Oh, shiny Wingull, that’s it. I never liked Wingull or Pelipper until I became a New Orleans Pelicans fan. So, shiny Wingull will be appearing the weekend of the Yokosuka event, and it will also be released worldwide like we just saw with Roselia. And, it seems like people outside of Safari Zone, like all over the world, had just as high odds of catching shiny Roselia throughout the weekend as we did in Dortmund. So congratulations to anyone who caught shiny Roselia and what the heck were you even doing to anyone who caught like 20 shiny Roselia? That’s crazy. The event also feature Pokémon such as Feebas and Torchic in all regions of Japan, which is cool. So it’s not just limited to the event, again like we saw the Safari Zone you’re gonna see shiny Wingull out in the world everywhere, all of Japan is gonna see increased spawns for rarer Pokémon like Feebas and Torchic and then of course, we’ll have Tropius, Unown. And all of the above at the actual event. Which, again, let me say, is designed to be a single day gameplay experience. So if you do win in the applications, you’re only going to be able to use that QR code for one day of the event. I don’t know if it’s gonna give you a specific day when you apply or when you get your QR code, but it’s a five-day event, but each person should only be there playing for one day, kind of like we’re gonna have it Pokémon go fest in what is that like a week and a half? That’s coming up quick. So anyway, Yokosuka Hit the link in the description July 6th Applications open if you’re going to be in Japan definitely apply if you’re not going to be in Japan, maybe don’t apply so that people who are actually gonna be there can get the tickets. But with that said, enjoy this video that is maybe a day and a half or two days behind. Oh, that was probably a bad idea. It’s Monday, now. The day after the Safari Zone. I’m transferring footage, getting this ready so I can edit on the train. I’m packing up. I already have more stuff than I came with, so hopefully it all fits. But we’re heading to Paris today and now that I’m kind of half back in bed, I really just want to sleep some more. So since I’m checking out late my key didn’t work so Yeah, it’s been about three or four minutes since I slammed that door for the shot had to go get a new key So I could get back in and get the camera. That doesn’t ever happen. Oh, yes, I am gonna shiny check it, so we’re getting on the train It’s not shiny. Getting on the train to Paris: Pokémon Master Holly, DX1. MYSTIC7’s already down there. He just loves Paris too much. But there’s also right here, which one of these Pokéstops, a lot of Pokéstops. One of them is a Safari Zone Pokéstop. And I literally have gotten zero Safari Zone Pokéstop gifts. So this is my last chance. No, perfect. Yeah… ‘kay Sorry everyone, no Safari Zone gifts Oh, there’s two. There’s two Safari Zone Pokéstops. I don’t know. Oh, yeah, I got it. I got it. Yeah Alright bye We are now halfway Probably halfway. – Like in Brussels, I just caught a Pokémon. Brussels. Guess I’m not getting this one. What is this? What did I spin? What? – [reading] Sam’s Cafe House Oh, there’s one [gift] Who wants it? – Me. Alright, I’ll send it to you. First impressions? – Air’s nice here. Okay. Welcome to the underground portion of the Paris train station. It looks like my first Parisian Pokémon is a rat. It’s different than a regular Rattata throw So we’re just gathering some things, grabbed a bottle of water because I am slightly dehydrated. And I shall name him Rattatatouille. Nope, didn’t think it would fit. Ratatouille. Probably yell that out loud, people’ll think I’m hungry. I am hungry. Welcome. Bienvenue. I’m just gonna throw this out there: Trying to get an uber. Trying to get an uber. Battling a gym? – Yep. Wow, I thought the elevator at my place was small. Welcome to a very periwinkle Airbnb tour This is the living room. This is a projector. Eventually. This is the projector… screen. That’s the projector. This is a bedroom or should I say boudoir. Probably shouldn’t. Hello, please can you take care of my plants? I can’t even take care of my own plants. Nice kitchen. – I’m just gonna post this in the middle so we don’t forget to give this to Brandon. That’s a good call. What were you doing in the kitchen cabinet though, is what I’m wondering. Just go grocery shopping? – Yea-s. You’re gonna love this thing. Was one of the rules don’t play piano? I don’t think so. Um, do you play piano? No. I don’t either. This is the shower. Wow, towel warmer. Huge bedroom. Washer and dryer. *sniffs* Good. Work space. Work space. Work space. Work space! Welcome to Paris.
