Hello dear viewers of CrazyCoen! It’s great that you are checking out CrazyCoen’s very first vlog. You may be thinking: wait? Don’t you normally do gaming videos? Why make a vlog all of the sudden? Karin and I are going to Germany this weekend because, as some of you may know the Pokemon Go Safari Park is being held in Dortmund. We are going to check out the Pokemon there. And we’re taking you along for the ride. Let’s go! Look! Germany 1 kilometer away! We’re getting close! See you again in Groningen. 130km/h is the maximum speed. Immer ein gute idea-idee. (Always a good idea) -Niedersaksen. Niedersaksen. Wir sind in Deutschland, ja! (We’re in Germany, yeah!) We did it! We’re in! Behind us, you can’t really make it out I’m going to try to show you. Over there… and that way is the park. We’re going to go in soon. You can already see Pokemon on the map. Corsola is there, amongst others. Karin already caught a shiny Swablu.
– Yes, I did. Cool! We’re going to move on. The servers are a bit laggy. But luckily Karin’s phone still works and come and see what she ran into: a Corsola! We are going to try and catch it. -With a golden berry. With a golden berry. I’m not the greatest at throwing. Doesn’t matter. It’s in! One, two… Ooops. Try again, try again! I will, but I will use… this one. -An Ultra Ball. Good idea. Coen is a better thrower than me. I’m not that good, actually. One… two… yes! Yay! You caught it! Gotcha! Corsola was caught. Caughted! Caughted. Well, I didn’t have it yet. In my Pokedex. It’s region specific. Is it any good? I don’t know. Certainly caught her attention. Not bad at all! Let’s see if my phone is willing to cooperate. And as expected… unfortunately not. We will just move on. Maybe we will find more Pokemon. No, this scarf is fine the way it is. My neck got sunburnt. I am now wearing Karin’s sweater as a scarf. We are currently in the Asian part of the park. A summary: it is really cool to be here, the park is gorgeous. But there is kind of a Chicago vibe because the internet does not work in many places. The Pokemon GO app does not load. I will put my phone screen up to show you what it looked like. My app suddenly decided to do all kinds of things: eggs started to hatch… I caught Pokemon, Dratini suddenly hatched. But those weren’t taking place at the time that my phone showed them to me. I was able to catch a Corsola, luckily, so we did not come here for nothing. There also aren’t Chicago like conditions in terms of ‘We can’t play!’. The weather is stunning. We are site seeing. But it does take some effort every now and then. We are going to move on in search of a spot where Pokemon will hopefully work properly. Let’s go! Good news, guys. It’s working again! Around noon, Niantic announced that they were having issues with the WiFi, the internet and the mobile connection in general. People have worked today, which was not appreciated by everyone. I believe that the group pictured was canceled because a lot of people gave Niantic the finger (on the photograph) And that didn’t look that great. Around 12:30, 12:40 we got internet back and Pokemon GO has been working ever since. And it is working a bit too well. Let me take you into my item inventory. Because… I only have five Ultra Balls left. When I started I had about twenty Poke Balls and over 100 Ultra Balls, which I have used up at this point. So I thought: what to do? We are going to catch this Phanpy first, because that is the most important. After that, I am going to open some gifts. And hopefully I can… make this throw… and restore my Poke Balls and Ultra Balls with help from the gifts. First this Phanpy needs to play along. Oh, by the way: I have been marked by Niantic. Karin got marked too. And we received a Safari bracelet. Can you see it? You can. That was the giveaway. I was secretly hoping for some kind of Pokemon. First of all: thank you to everyone that sent me gifts. Such as Stinkieee88. With her Beldum. De Rhijnvis Feith payground? That’s supposed to spell playground, I think? Pinap Berries. Very nice. Though not that useful to me right now. -Hey! Why?
In any case, I am sending you a gift in return. Why are they of little use to you? Well, I want to… I am looking for Poke Balls. It is kind of like: gimme Poke Balls. Pirate ship. What’s in here? A revive. Two max potions. And that was it. But Delanootje also gets a gift from Germany. Enjoy! Dano! What have you got for me? From the Morning Star. Look! Two great balls, those will help us along. Cooeeen… That max potion is nice. Coen? Except I am about to run out of gifts, I’m afraid. OK, that’s good because my arm is starting to hurt. OK. Because Karin’s arm is hurting, we are moving on. It is six o clock by now. We’ve had dinner and my shiny count has improved remarkably: shiny Aerodactyl, shiny Pikachu, shiny Corsola… no, I didn’t catch a shiny Corsola. I’m lying.
– Swablu Aerodactyl. And that’s all of them. Luckily, the connection is still stable, so that’s good. We are going to catch some more Pokemon and then we will catch a train to wrap up this day. OK, so it is getting later in the afternoon and something really cool just happened: Karin and I both ran into a (shiny) Roselia at the same time. We didn’t turn on the camera but we did catch them at the same time. I will show you the footage right now. I do really like the new shiny Roselia. In terms of their color pattern. Karin is a lot smaller than me. So I have to bend my knees a little. Enjoy our Roselia catches! We are back in our hotel in Duisburg after an amazing day. In the end it was a blast. I did see on Twitter that there is a large amount of people that didn’t get to play or didn’t get to play for eight hours straight. That means that Karin and I have been very fortunate. It is time to evolve some of the Pokemon that I caught. Let’s see. To start things off with a shiny… That is to say, a shiny Swablu. I ran into this little guy. He’s golden! Really awesome. Here we go: evolve! Yes. There he goes! Swablu! Look, there’s Karin. There we go! Alteria! All in gold. And registered to Pokedex. It is displaying in blue but it is really gold. Here! It is kind of wearing a woolen sweater. A cloud. Very nice! One down. I also caught a shiny Pikachu. Where is the little fellow? There he is! We are going to change this fellow into a shiny Raichu. Here we go. Let’s go! Although I do like a shiny Pikachu. But, Raichu is awesome too. I already caught a Raichu before. Tadaa! Shiny Raichu! Very nice! Two to go! The first one is Larvitar, because I ran into so many Larvitar that Ihad plenty of candy to evolve two Larvitar. 267 candy we currently own. So I am going to evolve at least one Larvitar into Tyranitar. There he is: Tyranitar. 2889! That’s a decent CP! And to close things off. To close things off I am going to do one final evolution: my Feebas. Oh really? Yes! Oh. I was ready to evolve it for some time, but I never got around to it. At least, I never had the time, but we will evolve him for the video. We are evolving Feebas into one of the most beautiful Pokemon, according to it’s Pokedex entry. Tadaa! There he is! New in my Pokedex. He is very beautiful. New for me. And there he is: 2724CP. Those aren’t bad statistics at all. To sum up this day: how was it? I really enjoyed it! Yeah! It was very nice and the park… it’s a beautiful park. The park is stunning. It is a great location. Niantic picked it very well. The communication about the issues were better than they were in Chicago based on what I’ve seen, that is. They did announce that they were having problems. It’s too bad that it happened, but it is what it is. And I have been amazed by the ability of Pokemon GO to gather all kinds of people in one place. I have heard German, obviously because I was in Dortmund; I heard French; Dutch; Belgian; I’ve seen Japanese people. All kinds of nationalities and all kinds of people. From very young children to people that were grey.
-That doesn’t tell you everything. All those people were all there. And were all connected by Pokemon GO. That’s really awesome. I’ve had a great day. We were able to make a great video.
