Welcome to the Hobby Lobby Creative Studio!
I’m Kaley and today I’m going to show you how to turn these super cute, super fun animal
figurines like these into one-of-a-kind pieces for your home. But first, let me show you my favorite. I
love these buffalo book ends! Not only are they adorable, but they’re functional, too.
I could see them in a little girl’s room or as a cool way to savvy up the office. And
for the kids, you can put a spin on a classic game: tic-tac-toe. You can use tigers, giraffes,
elephants, any animal your kids like. You can also make them these darling trinket boxes.
To make this cute box, we started by swapping out these zebra stripes for some pink and
gold paint. Then we attached it to the top of a paper mache box that’s been modified
with designer tape, some wooden wheels, and a bakers twine pull at the front.
You’ll be the talk of the party with this Jurrasic mash-up. Our dinosaur figurine got
a fresh coat of paint and a new wardrobe, including a top hat made out of a cork stopper.
To add a gold chain like we’ve done here, just drill a small hole in his back, add some
glue, push a screw eye into place and string your chain through it.
These safari-style candle sticks will light up any room with their charm. After drilling
holes through each animal figurine, we painted them with a gold base layer and added colorful
details. With the two wooden circles also drilled and painted, all that’s left to do
is slip a wooden dowel through the figurine, pop on some painted wooden beads, and secure
it all with glue. So be sure to click on the project sheet link
below for more details on these chic framed beavers, these regal horses, and tons of other
ideas. So go check them out and I’ll see you next
time here at the Hobby Lobby Creative Studio.
