Akagera National Park is an alluring mix of lakes and the savanna in
northeastern Rwanda. Its abundant zebras and giraffes
may be exactly what you are looking for to have a complete Gorilla Highlands safari. Other wildlife is substantial as well,
adding to the fun. If you drive through Akagera
from the southern to the northern gate, you will take part in a fascinating game drive. There are going to be numerous lakes, colourful birds and savanna animals on your way. An open-roofed car is a must and you should seriously consider camping in the park. Protective electric fences keep wildlife away,
but not its sounds.
